The First Post?

And so today, more than 4 weeks after I set up this blog with just the page "Fancy a Date" as content,  I am publishing a post. Now, if you were an "expert" and were trying to prove when this blog was started, you might, in the absence of any other "evidence" try to use the date of this post to establish that it was started when this blog post was published - on Saturday 13 September at about 7:00 a.m.

Of course that presupposes that the time stamp correctly identifies when this article was posted and also when the blog was started.

The time stamp on this post currently suggests that this post was made on Sunday 13th September 2015, which is, in fact, exactly a year into the future.

By that time this legal case will have been decided for some time.

Of course our "expert" may be a mite confused by the fact that the second post will have  a date some years into the past but it will look like it's the first post, and then there will be a third post which will look as though it was posted as the second post.

I'm sure he will be able to explain all this to his client and the court when cross examined on it though.
